You can visit Fransham Forge Monday – Friday 9am – 4.30pm and Saturdays 9.30am to 1.00pm excepting the last Saturday of the month and Bank Holidays. The Forge offers a shop, gallery, sculpture trail, blacksmithing courses and overnight accomodation.
Visit Norfolk’s leading ironwork gallery to see a vast range of work on display, from inspiring gifts to period ironmongery, you can be sure of a warm welcome from Nigel and the team. Many items from our gallery are also available from our new online shop
Outside, you will find a sculpture trail is set in four acres of woodland next to a small stream. You can walk through the trees and discover some of the amazing ironwork produced by artist blacksmith Nigel Barnett and his team of highly skilled craftsmen at Fransham Forge. The sculpture trail has been designed to allow wheelchair access.
Fransham Forge is a busy working Forge and our blacksmiths and craftsmen can often be seen going about their work during the day. Displays of blacksmithing can be arranged by appointment.
If you want to try your hand at blacksmithing, you can book a weekend course under the expert guidance of Master Craftsman Nigel Barnett. This hands-on course enables you to make a variety of items to take home with you. Click here for details.
